Rained for quite a while today! We got this assignment where we had to go out and take some pictures and all my pictures are of wet things! In class today we learned how to take better photos and then we got a chance to go around town and try out the new tips we learned. Here's a picture I took using my camera which I then fixed a little bit using picnik I was sort of obsessed with flowers once I got going. The fuschia grow in huge bushes here and are GORGEOUS!
After my crazy photo frenzy, we went to a restaurant called The Pasta and Pizza Bar for dinner. I ate an appetizer and a dessert because it was cheaper than getting a full meal and after yesterday's huge fish and chips portion I'm trying to remember to order smaller things. I had a dessert called treacle sponge pudding. Basically it was a round cake soaked with really sweet syrup and sitting in a puddle of cream. SO GOOD! Treacle is syrup. Buddy the Elf would like treacle.
On our way home we walked by the mall nearby and there was a huge piece of artwork on the wall of the mall. It was a map of the whole town of Plymouth. The description below the picture said that this map was depicting Plymouth as it woud have been in the 18th century. So this area they call "The Hoe" must have been a place where the sheep hung out. I also learned the Plymouth is named so because the town is located at the mouth of the Plym River. Plym-Mouth...makes sense.
